Accompanied by animated visuals, installation, dim-lit candles, and poetry readings, the GHIBLILANE project pays tribute to the musical works of Japanese composer Joe Hisaishi throughout his long-time collaboration with Studio Ghibli. Reserved to a select audience of 25, GHIBLILANE endeavors to create a concert experience that is touching, memorable, and uplifting during such strange times – a reminder that silver linings can be found in every corner of the world.
En Concert: Bridget Esler & Julie Choi

Canadian soprano Bridget Esler has been described as having an “operatic, beautiful, effortless sound” and being “buoyantly charming as an actor”. Esler is currently finishing a Bachelor of Music in Classical Voice Performance under the tutelage of Joanne Kolomyjec at Schulich School of Music at McGill University. Joining Bridget is Julie Choi who is an alumna of McGill University where she obtained her Bachelor of Music in Classical and a Master of Music — both with high distinction. Choi is currently based in Montréal working as a staff pianist at McGill and as the Artistic Program Director at Kin Experience. This recital will take you on a journey, from the windswept hills of the Irish countryside to the cobblestoned streets of Paris. An evening of bright, youthful, and delicate music-making not to be missed!

Soprano Nicole Ross has been praised for her “simple, unaffected acting and gorgeous vocal tone”. Ross is in her final year at the Schulich School of Music where she is finishing her Bachelors of Music in Classical Voice Performance under the tutelage of Joanne Kolomyjec. Joining Nicole on the piano is Julien LeBlanc, the Canadian pianist and virtuoso whose enthusiasm is genuinely contagious. Based in Montréal, Julien is a well sought-after soloist, chamber player, accompanist and has been acting as the co-artistic director of the summer concert series Barachois Summer Music in New Brunswick since 2012. Join the talented Nicole and Julien for an evening of delightful strophic stories, presenting on themes of youth, love, loss and hope.”
Cameron & Meagan “The Grand Tour” Concert

There is perhaps no adventure more romantically compelling than the “Grand Tour”, an old tradition of wealthy young gentlemen to roam the European continent in search of art and culture. With COVID-19 making any such journey nearly impossible for the time being, we’ve instead turned to the world of music to create our fantasy Grand Tour, no travel required; featuring some of the most truly passionate melodies ever written all across France, Germany Italy and Russia.

Colin R Lloyd is a trombonist and composer from Ottawa, Ontario. Based in Montreal ever since completing his studies at the Schulich School of Music at McGill University, his musical pursuits have taken him down a variety of paths, exploring ever-evolving musical styles. His performance at Kin Experience will be an exploration of the jazz canon through a trombonist’s lens, featuring compositions by many trombonists who have left their mark on the genre throughout history.

The evening will include private instruction by a talented Montréal-Lebanese artist, Giane Lamb who will take you on a journey to recreate the masterpiece in simple easy-to-follow steps.
Candlelight Concert for Beirut

In light of the tragedy that happened in Beirut on August 4th, 2020, Kin Experience is hosting a Candlelight Concert where 100% of the profits from ticket sales will be donated to Lebanese charity organizations; Communauté des Disciples du Verbe as well as Act for Lebanon. The concert will feature a group of talented Montréal artists who will perform anything from classical music, to jazz to traditional Lebanese songs.
